One of the most important elections in our country’s history is about to take place. Why are we still debating what types of ID are legal and appropriate for voters to show? Are we better off with voter ID laws or election fraud?
Voter ID Laws or Election Fraud
At some point in this country, we are going to have to make the decision if we want voter Id laws or election fraud.
The “poll coordinator” in the video above is helping people commit voter fraud. I’m so glad that we have people like her helping to protect the integrity of the ballot box.
As a nation we have made great strides in providing people with their right to vote.
But, How do we protect the integrity of the ballot box? I believe the time has come to protect the integrity of the ballot box. To prevent our election process from being influenced by non-citizens we should institute and enforce appropriate laws.
Citizens have the right, and just expectation, that the integrity of their vote has not been diminished. And, that their legitimate vote has not been diluted by the presence of fraudulent votes.
It is important that legitimate voters are not disenfranchised! Isn’t it just as important that the votes that are cast are from legitimate legal voters?
This should not be a partisan argument. It should be the concern of every citizen that the ballot box and associated processes are solid as the rock of Gibraltar, and as accurate as humanly possible.
Voter ID Laws – Recent problems
I do not want this to be a debate about illegal immigrants. Unfortunately however, they probably have the highest propensity to be non-citizen voters.
The left always tries to silence those they disagree with by labeling them some kind of phob. Homophobe, Racist, Islamophobe, etcetera. This is not a race or religion issue.
Anyone regardless of race or religion can be a citizen. If you want the right to vote, its easy, become a citizen.
As mentioned in the video above, it is a third class felony to represent yourself as a citizen on an affidavit when you are not. Why aren’t these laws enforced?
Apparently it is ok to lie and commit fraud if you are doing it for your favorite cause like in this example below.
Voter ID Laws – Election Fraud
Not only do we have a problem with people voting that do not have the legitimate right to vote, we also have a problem with the voting tabulation process being hacked.
Software on our electronic voting equipment can, and has been, re-programmed to provide the election results desired by the hacker.
How are we as citizens supposed to have any faith at all in the process now?
What is to become of our democratic republic?
What are we as citizens to do when our elected officials cannot, or will not police even these most basic issues.
The very foundation of our country is being eroded away. If there is no legitimacy to this, our most fundamental of processes, how can our country survive?
Voter ID Laws or Election Fraud – Recent Court Ruling
Last Wednesday a federal appeals court ruled that Texas’ voter identification law violates the VRA (Voting Rights Act.)
Democrats and voting rights advocates see this ruling as a victory.
The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, in New Orleans, LA found that the law discriminated against blacks and latinos that often did not have the forms of identification required by the law.
The law in question signed into law by Governor Rick Perry in 2011 took effect in 2013 and required voters to show one of several different forms of government issued ID. Those included are, Driver’s License, Passport, Military ID Card or Concealed Carry handgun license.
Because a disproportionate amount of black or hispanic voters would lack such identification, the law was deemed discriminatory.
How are we to ever gain control of the process?
Voter ID Laws – Real Id Act
DHS has already instituted some pretty strict requirements for identification cards and driver’s licences. If you are a licensed driver, you have probably already been required to submit to these requirements.
Is it any less appropriate to secure our ballot boxes with the same requirements?
Preventing terrorists from
obtaining state-issued identification documents is critical to securing America against terrorism. As the
9/11 Commission noted, “For terrorists, travel documents are as important as weapons.” The 9/11 Commission Report: Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States, at 384 (2004).
The REAL ID Act, passed by Congress in 2005, enacted the 9/11
Commission’s recommendation that the Federal Government “set standards for the issuance of sources of identification, such as driver’s licenses.” The Act established minimum security standards for license issuance and production and prohibits Federal agencies from accepting for certain purposes driver’s licenses and identification cards from states not meeting the Act’s minimum standards.
Voter ID Laws – My Suggestion
State Issued Photo ID Cards that are compliant with the Real ID Act should be mandated as a minimum requirement to register to vote. Protecting the integrity of the ballot box is just as important as any other security need in the country!
I suggest that if:
- You are receiving any kind of government benefit (state or federal) you should have to prove your eligibility both by income and identity. If an individual is unable to afford to purchase the state issued photo ID, they can apply for this to be paid by the state just like any other government benefit.
- It is proven by appropriate documentation that you are unable to afford to purchase a state issued photo identification card then one will be provided by the state.
- You cannot meet the document requirements (real ID Act,) then only a provisional photo ID card would be issued. This would limit that individual’s ability to vote because they are not able to prove their citizenship.
- at any point in the future they were able to provide appropriate documentation to verify their identity and their citizenship, the limiting provisions would be eliminated.
Voters should be required to provide appropriate identification at the time of voting whether that is in person or on some kind of provisional or absentee ballot.
That identification should include a method of tracking that would allow for a “one person, one vote” correlation to be conducted.
Voter ID Laws – We MUST have valid election processes!
With all the advantages our modern world provides in technology, communication and identification, it is completely unbelievable to me that we cannot find a way to correct these most important issues.
This most basic process, and foundation of our country must, be protected from criminal influence from both outside and inside of our country or we are certainly lost.
There is no political will to solve the problem. Our leaders are taking advantage of our ignorance. Even when we find the problems there is no resolution, correction, or prosecution.
It has never been more apparent to me than it is today that our government is corrupt. Lawlessness in our government is rampant!
What do you think we need to do to ensure that the election process is fair and as error free as possible? How do you feel about the information presented above?
